The Creative Print Buyer will play a key role in the overall execution of print purchasing for the Burlington Stores Marketing team. Reporting to the Sr. Production Director, you will play a key role in purchasing marketing collateral with a primary focus on seasonal in-store signage. In this role, you will be expected to have ownership in managing budget, quality of printing, and ensuring deadlines are met. You will be expected to maintain company brand standards through printed materials and manage project specifications for any given marketing print vehicle. Success will be measured in accurately meeting project deadlines and expense.
A Day in The Life:
Purchase print materials for seasonal in-store signage and marketing campaigns, ensuring delivery deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.Develop comprehensive job specifications and detailed vendor instructions for print projects, including the management of distribution lists.Build and maintain vendor relationships while addressing and resolving issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and invoices.Manage the final creative for in-store signage and other marketing print campaigns, internally preflighting files before release to ensure accuracy and proper preparation.Proof all print materials to ensure marketing and company brand standards are met.Handle invoicing and forecasting, while monitoring ongoing expense tied to print and paper.Attend press checks to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
You’ll Come With:
BA in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred.5–7 years of production and print experience in retail, marketing, or an advertising agency.Print production experience working with a creative team.The ability to build strong partnerships with internal and external departments, including print vendors.Proven success working in a fast-paced environment, flexible, strong communication skills, and highly organized.Experience in print and paper procurement, including maintaining complex distribution lists.Strong understanding of creative specs: color space, resolution, bleeds, fonts, and mechanical specifications.Knowledge of print production methods: digital, lithography, and screen printing.Proficiency in WorkZone or equivalent project management tool.Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) on a Mac platform.Experience with Canto or equivalent digital asset management system.
