Job Description

The Creative Social Lead at ASOS is a highly experienced and skilled leader with a keen eye for all things Social. As a member of our Lead team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, building relationships and collaborating on a variety of outputs. You will be a key stakeholder in defining our creative social identity to connect with existing customers and engage a wider audience.

You will lead, mentor, and creatively inspire others to deliver the best assets in the industry. You will continually develop our offerings across multiple platforms and every touchpoint with our customers. Your role is one of inspiration, creativity, delivery, with a deep understanding of both the world of social but also the customers we aim to connect with.

You are commercially and operationally aware of the balance between quality, delivery, and deadlines, and you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The Role

· Social Authority: To be continually up to date and ahead of the curve of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices while demonstrating flexibility to adapt strategies quickly in response to new developments.

· Fashion Authority: You will use your expertise in social to put ASOS on the map as a fashion authority. Utilising your experience to guide teams in the most relevant fashion focussed and engaging concepting.

· Inspiration and Mentorship: As a self-sufficient leader you inspire the team to continually advance, and to be an aspirational figure within the leadership team and department. You will have the ability to see opportunities and articulate a compelling vision that motivates and inspires others.

· Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Creative Studios Leadership team to align goals and ambitions. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate creative briefs into delivery that ignites the imagination of internal teams and customers, ensuring goals and ambitions are aligned.

· Social Strategy: Be accountable for guiding social content across a wide range of projects and briefs to ensure we are connecting with the right customer in the right way. Ensuring that the team’s creative vision and delivery strategies are aligned with the brand ethos and reflect the brands strategy.

· Delivery at scale: Be accountable for the delivery of Creative Studios social output including campaign shoots for central and AMG with the ability to juggle multiple projects running in parallel.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Reporting directly to the Head of Studios, you will oversee and be accountable for the delivery of Creative Studios social output. This is across product pages, homepage, campaign imagery (both Central and AMG) as well as social content.

· You will be proactive in conceptualising new and fresh content ideas for social platforms that stand out in a crowded digital landscape, considering social media strategies to align with wider business goals.

· Working with Head Of Creative and Social Leadership to regularly review our content through a critical creative lense as well as work with the wider social teams to quantitatively analyse successes to better inform future strategies.

· Leading ASOS Creative Studios in delivering trend-forward, high-impact fashion content that sets us apart from competitors. Serving as the expert in all things social, driving teams to stay ahead of the latest trends and make ASOS the go-to destination for fashion.

· Driving operational excellence as well as creative flair in all interactions. Establishing and uphold KPIs and SLAs that drive the delivery of the wider creative and delivery strategies. Ensure high performance across all the stages of the end to end process.

· Being a constructive conduit for feedback. Always taking and giving feedback positively you are solution focused and desire speed of change. You translate this not only for own teams, but other leaders too. Always consider what could be improved.

· Constantly leading and mentoring core team and peers. You are a leading figure who organises & galvanises the wider leadership team. You remain proactive and positive in taking on tasks even if information is developing. You will embody the ASOS behaviours, taking brave steps forward to inspire and educate the team.

· Aligning and collaborating with the Leads and Heads Of to ensure the overall success of everything we do.

Qualifications

Experience in creating and leading strategies specifically around brand identity, fashion authority, and market positioning.

· Strong experience of leading creative for a mobile and social first brand

· A knowledge of the social landscape and proven success in reacting to trends

· Experience working with senior stakeholders, building relationships, and collaborating on a variety of output.

· Strong experience working with Leading fashion brands and ‘20 something’ brands.

· Experience collaborating with Creative, Commercial and product design teams.

· Strong experience in fashion, youth culture and lifestyle trends

· Experience working with Marketing/Creative teams to define brand aesthetics.

· Understanding of multi-channel content, consumption, and distribution.

· The ability to mentor and develop a team skillsets with different levels of experience.

· Strong influencing skills, articulate and confident presenter.

· Strong understanding of global and cultural fashion relevancy

· Strong influencing skills, articulate and confident communicator who is comfortable with responsibility, accountability, and ambiguity.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to rapid change
