Credentialed Trainer, I - Revenue Cycle

**Job Summary:**
Do you have experience with training and education? Are you proficient in registration and billing systems? UPMC is hiring full-time Credentialed Trainers to assist the Revenue Cycle team. This role will primarily work Monday through Friday during daylight hours, however evenings and weekends are required as needed. This is a hybrid position with opportunities to work from home. Occasional travel and on-site work required at UPMC facilities and offices in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Work from home, on-site work, and travel will be discussed further during the interview.
Under the guidance of the training managers, a Credentialed Trainer will work with Principal Trainers, clinical operations and business operations subject matter experts, and IT application analysts to create and maintain various training modules and best practices on all electronic health record-related systems and processes in support of systemwide standard protocols, aligning with UPMC core values. The Credentialed Trainer will use the curriculum, lessons, and training materials created by the Principal Trainers to train end-users and provide post-training support. This position typically works in a hybrid environment, providing on-site support within an hour radius, occasionally further, of their home as necessary. Travel across Pennsylvania and its bordering states may be required, to provide training, implementation, and workflow support services as needed.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare training materials to use during classroom training and facilitate training sessions to end-users on proper use of the application.
+ Assist in the coordination of training logistics (i.e. courses, meeting rooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with the Principal Trainer.
+ Assist in the preparation of the training system for hands-on training, developing training scenarios, and training patients, etc.
+ Maintain system documentation.
+ Coordinate the training of end-users for system upgrades.
+ Provide demonstrations of system functionality and real-time workflow support, as necessary.
+ Administer post-live refresher, optimization and skills-enhancement training.
+ Administer end-user proficiency assessments and in-system checklists.
+ Respond to end user requests related to training and workflow matters.
+ Test lesson plans and training environment build.
+ Provide 24/7 workflow support, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule to ensure seamless operations.
+ Collect feedback from trainees in class and communicates feedback information to Principal Trainer
+ Maintain open, productive communication with management and staff of both internal and external customers.
+ Identify and escalate concerns of pertinent issues to Director or Vice President directly responsible for the specific project or initiative as appropriate.
+ Maintain and promote positive, productive and proactive inter- and intradepartmental relationships to facilitate effective collaboration.
+ Provide consultation related to information systems.
+ Update and manage project/activity list.
+ Serve as a positive role model for individuals in the department and throughout the organization.

+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
+ Bachelor's degree in specialty or Education preferred.
+ 1-year relevant experience required.
+ Experience with technology and/or healthcare is strongly desired.
+ Ability to lead others and clearly communicate the importance of training to all stakeholders in the project.
+ Experience with adult education, instructional design and curriculum delivery.
+ Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills.
+ Knowledge of organizational workflows.
+ Ability to develop and adhere to time schedules in order to meet project deadlines and to sequence activities logically.
+ Interpersonal skills at a level to function well in a wide range of administrative, management and patient care environments.
+ Regular need to work effectively with wide range of very senior to very junior individuals under training project and ad hoc conditions.
+ Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and assignments accurately within a set time frame and to function under stressful situations in a calm and rational manner.
+ Knowledge of and the ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software to create teaching/learning materials and documentation.
+ Excellent knowledge of the English grammar and spelling for use in both verbal and written communication.
+ A proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
+ Skill and experience in adult education preferred.
+ A detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills preferred.
+ A strong belief in the value of the Epic install preferred.
+ The ability to write well preferred.
+ Clinical or operational experience preferred.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
Credentials must be obtained within 90 days or hire
