You will work alongside other skilled veterinary professionals to provide remarkable care for our patients and their families. **Shift Details:** Relief **Pay CVT I:** $22.00 - $32.00/ hour **Pay:** Dependent on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool. We are looking for an experienced technician with a strong work ethic who is dedicated to their chosen profession and is passionate about providing the highest quality of care for their patients. Our hospital also provides an encouraging environment that will support your continued professional growth in Emergency and Specialty Medicine. **As an Veterinary Technician, you will:** + Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure. + Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment. + Assist the doctor with creating patient treatment plans and thoroughly explaining to owners. + Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients. + Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. + Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues. + Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters. + Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR. + Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers. + Have patience and empathy to address client concerns. ​ **BluePearl is the next step in your career!** **Why BluePearl?** We promote a collaborative culture in our hospitals.
