Credentialing Coordinator

The Credentialing Services Coordinator will act as a liaison with the Akumin credentialing vendor, gather, prepare and maintain provider credential files to be submitted to the credentialing vendor, under the direction of the Manager of Credentialing Services. Prepare files for approval by the leadership of Akumin to comply with Joint Commission and regulatory agency requirements. Additionally, provides support to the Government Enrollment and Credentialing team.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for obtaining current physician information from Akumin contracted radiology groups.

Obtains current rosters from contracted radiology groups on a quarterly basis
Prepares and submits physician information online to credentialing vendor. Organizes and maintains information in physician credentialing files following confidentiality guidelines. Run data reports, summaries, profiles and physician notifications as necessary.

Prepare completed credentialing files for presentation to the credentialing committee for approval.

Gather and maintain required credentialing documents for Akumin locations. Maintain CAQH profiles as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

5-7 years of credentialing experience 

Minimum of two years direct hands-on experience in a Windows environment, Microsoft Word/Excel, Google Sheets and Web research

Strong communication skills 

Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects independently within established timeframes

Preferred:

CMSC and/or CPCS certification.

Physical Requirements:

Standard office environment.

Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

Stoop, kneel or crawl.

Climb and balance.

Carry and lift 10-20 pounds
