Credentialing Coordinator

Position Summary:

Performs duties in support of the hospital mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Analyze and evaluate primary source verification data and documents for initial appointment and reappointment to the Medical and Allied Health staff according to hospital and outside regulatory standards. Manages data quality and integrity for Echo credentialing database applications based on defined standards. Utilizes resources effectively, including the Internet, while maintaining costs associated with credentialing. Knowledge of Joint Commission, Department of Health, and CMS standards. Knowledgeable of Medical Staff Bylaws and Policies.

Education and Training:

Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate experience

Experience and Knowledge:

3 years of experience in a similar role.

Registration, Licensure and/or Certification:

Current NAMSS CPCS certification preferred.
