Credentialing Data Technician
Job Summary The Credentialing Data Technician is responsible for maintaining the credentialing database in regards to revalidating verifications prior to expiration, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Supports the credentialing verification efforts of the Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) by providing secretarial support through the appropriate use of software and/or other tools. Essential Functions + Collect, verify, update, correct, and enter essential information in credentialing database to ensure data integrity. + Electronically monitor, investigate, and reconcile instances of expired licensure, DEA, board certification, and malpractice insurance, on an ongoing basis. + Receive, handle, and transfer phone calls and messages within the department. + Responsible for monitoring and prioritizing department emails. + Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to physicians, advanced practice providers, employees, and external entities. + Cover for department credentialing assistant, as needed. + Participate in special projects, as needed. Qualifications Required + High School Diploma + 1 year of relevant experience with data management + 2 years of relevant experience in office coordination/secretarial support + 2 years of demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.) Preferred + Associate's Degree in Business/Computers or related field + Detail-oriented professional with high level of organizational skills and analytical ability to perform data gathering, document preparation, and record maintenance + Interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (oral and written) necessary to positively represent the department.
