The Credentialing and Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations related to provider credentialing, contract management, insurance verification, and client cost-share management.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Credentialing: Manage the credentialing process for providers with governmental agencies and commercial payers, ensuring timely enrollment and active status. Oversee RBT and QMHP credentialing and registration.
+ Contracting: Maintain contract files, manage the contract process, and act as a liaison with contracted agencies. Assist with audits and keep leadership informed of any changes impacting operations.
+ Eligibility and Insurance Verification: Verify client insurance coverage and educate them on their benefits. Complete necessary documentation and communicate any changes or issues to relevant teams.
+ Client Cost-Share Management: Determine and communicate cost-share estimates to clients, obtain consent, and manage payment arrangements. Work with the Billing Manager for collections and maintain all records.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
+ Comprehensive knowledge of behavioral health and managed care, particularly credentialing, contracting, and insurance verification
+ Strong understanding of managed care contracting and payer processes
+ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
+ Customer service orientation
+ Motivated, independent, and detail-oriented
