Job DescriptionThe Credentialist II works under the direction of the Director of Medical Staff Services, the Credentialist II carries out all phases of the Medical Staff credentialing functions, provides committee support, may record and maintain minutes of Medical Staff meetings.Minimum RequirementsThis position requires previous experience in medical staff credentialing or related area (i.e. 3 years in managed care credentialing or 3 years in an academic medical center setting working with physicians and administrative matters)Must have computer knowledge and competency, attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work constructively with physicians, professionals, peers,  customers and others. Requires the ability to take minutes, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesA high degree of independent judgment must be exercised in carrying out detailed diligence in credentialing activity. PreferredPrevious experience in medical staff credentialing in a medical center setting working with physicians and administrative matters is preferred
