Salary Range: $30.82  - $46.44 / hour

Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Credentials Coordinator - One (1) Full-Time Position Available

 

Position Overview:

Provides administrative support to Medical Staff Office and Committees including answering and routing phone calls, general clerical duties, credentialing and responding to routine inquiries

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Two (2) years of Administrative support experienceAbility to type 50 words per minuteKnowledge of basic medical terminologyMicrosoft Office and computer skillsAbility to write reports and business correspondence

Preferred:

Previous hospital Medical Staff Office experienceMedical Staff credentialing experienceAgenda and minute taking experienceKnowledge of MDStaff softwareCPMSM or CPCS National Association of Medical Staff CertificationEssential Functions and Responsibilities:Credentials new applicants to the Medical and Allied Health Staff, including privileging and Board lettersRe-credentials the Medical and Allied Health Staff, including privileging and Board letters.Maintains the proctoring status of the Medical and Allied Health Staff associated with the Departments and Committees supported.Maintains the privileges granted to the Medical and Allied Health Staff associated with the Department and Committees supported.Responsible for the maintaining expirable documents associated with the Medical and Allied Health Staff , e.g., licensure, DEA, Malpractice insurance, TB and Influenza.Supports Medical Staff Meetings with preparation of agendas, minute taking and required follow-up.Information Management that pertains to Medical Staff Functions.Prepares and maintains confidential credentials file on all applicants and members of the Medical Staff/Allied Health.Maintains custody of the Medical Staff meeting minutes.Other duties as assigned.  Overview
