The Ideal candidate must have the following exposure:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the economic environment,
business risks and financial reports with the ability to grow credit business opportunities
Asses credit risk, structure deals and prepare presentation for Credit Committee
Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery,
collaboration and innovation
Identify and implement on opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets
Analyse credit information to estimate degree of risk in extending credit and financing to clients
Identify transaction specific risks including credit, taxation, accounting and legal
Introduce risk mitigating measures as input to structure transactions in line with the risk philosophy
Achieve year on year Total Revenue, Relationship and Balance Sheet Growth as per the New Business targets
Deliver exceptional Credit service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
Assist internal sales partners with credit decisions and application of the credit policy. Build and maintain relationships with internal business partners
Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders
Responsible for maximizing cross sell opportunities through credit assessment and client portfolio analysis
Ensure average approval turnaround time against target to ensure retention of clients.
Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies of the Bank
Preferred Qualification & Exposure:
The role needs someone that has strong financial skills coupled with strong industry specific knowledge (Agric Area)
Banking experience within Agric environment preferable
CA (SA) or Degree in Accounting essential, preferably at Honors level. Finance related NQF level 7 qualification
