The Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for managing the credit risk and collections process for the company. This role involves evaluating creditworthiness, monitoring accounts receivable, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:Credit Evaluation: Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.Collections Management: Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and letters.Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential credit risks by setting appropriate credit limits and terms.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collection activities, and credit risk analysis.Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely payment of invoices.Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely and professional manner.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to credit and collections.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve credit and collections processes and implement best practices.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Associates Degree in related field also preferred. HS Diploma required. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit and collections or a related role.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Working Conditions:Office environment with occasional remote work options.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44/hr.
