Position:Credit and Collections Associate
Job Description:

Arrow Electronics is looking for a Credit and Collections Associate to join our team in Guadalajara! This individual will be empowered to make business decisions within set guidelines to best help customers and find payment solutions that will maintain positive business relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

Collects AR to terms

Negotiates payment plans; may need to elevate cash flow problems according to management reporting structure. Takes appropriate action such as credit hold, placement with third-party collections; ability to work independently done with minimal guidance.

Customer Engagement:

Negotiate resolutions for payment issues, resolve discrepancies with invoices/credits, and establish payment schedules as needed.

Collaborate with the sales team to identify root causes for disputes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Order releases when accounts are on shipment hold, over the credit limit, or past due.

Trend Analysis:

Monitor customer payment patterns to detect slow payment cycles.

Engage with both sales and customers to address and resolve issues promptly.

Financial Review:

Review customer financial statements to recommend higher credit lines for shipment releases as needed.

What We Are Looking For: 

High Proficiency in written and verbal English language communication skills is required.3 – 5 years’ experience required in business-to-business (B2B) AR collections including complex AR reconciliations.Candidates will have strong prior job experience and training with B2B AR collections and the ability to multi-task and handle a variety of daily responsibilities effectively.Ability to work independently and understand when to escalate customer problems to Management.Ability to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data to resolve customer issues.Ability to take a broad perspective to problem solving and spot new, less obvious solutions to bring problems to a full resolution.

Education/Experience: 

Requires a degree and 3–5 years of experience with B2B AR business collections, including complex AR reconciliation skills. May require specific certifications.

Work Arrangement: 

• Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days work from home
