What will you be doing as a Credit and Counterparty Risk Specialist – Bucharest Office
The core focus of this role is to provide independent and objective analysis, monitoring and management of Credit & Counterparty Risk Management for the Bunge Bucharest head office supported.
This should be completed through the following activities:
Manage counterparty risk analysis in accordance with Bunge policies, including: KYC checks and due diligence, assigning credit grades via financial analysis, limits and payment terms and approves exposure limits within delegated authority, escalation of exceptions. Obtain, review and analyze financial information, bank and trade references, counterparty websites, region risk data, trade and logistics details Improve accurate maintenance of counterparty information (grades, approvals, etc.) in credit systems Monitor Counterparty analysis renewal dates. Reports to support business decisions and monitor credit exposures, follow aging reports, contracts and open invoices on a daily basis. Weekly & month end reportings to region regularly on credit exposures, bed debts, warehouse exposures reportings, KPI reportings etc. Making credit analysis and monitoring external warehouses. Support on growing the culture of credit & counterparty risk with traders, commercial teams, local management and internal stakeholders Coordination with counterparties on behalf of the company Constantly follow up with credit risk information on key issues, like compliance issues, market risk, and legal issues Oversee composition of recommendations related to policy or procedural changes. Setting credit limit with other approvers and take necessary actions within’ the delegated authority
What you can bring to the role:
University Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance; Master Degree is a plus Minimum 2 years of credit and counterparty risk management and financial analysis experience or bank experience Experience within’ commodity trading world is preference and understanding in agribusiness dynamics is a plus Understanding of credit risk analysis ratios Good communication skills Highly computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel, MS Office suite, SAP /other ERPs Fluent in English Understanding of compliance risk
