As a Credit Back Office Specialist you will be a member of the Accounts Receivable department reporting to the Credit Back Office Supervisor. The core function of this role provides a wide range of Credit and Cash Application Support. This support is critical to ensuring that PPG assets are protected by monitoring customer credit risk and guaranteeing that payments are received and posted timely. Working hours 2:30pm - 11pm.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES:

Key Credit Back Office operations – support during the new customer setup, order release management, credit limit reviews and reportingPrepare credit approval packages, annual reviews, renewals of credit, credit proposals and coordination of document preparation and closingsAssist on obtaining remittance/payment information from customers with an eye towards identifying solutions to improve cash application processesSupport IRecevables/E-Billing function/system (new user setup, password resets, error resolution, credit memos and customer queries)                Communication with internal (local credit teams, treasury, general ledger, accounts receivables and payables) and external customers to ensure smooth & effective operationAddress cash application issues/concerns related to existing/new Supply Chain Finance programsAnswer accounts receivable calls received through the PPG SwitchboardMaintenance of the document’s storageParticipate in process improvement projects and support other management directives as prescribedAssist in business process improvement and transitions

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2+ year’s experience in accounting, cash application and/or credit and collections requiredHigh school diplomas with relevant work experience requiredAdvanced degree in business in place of experience will be considered  PC skills (MS Office, MS Access, Oracle/SAP system experience an advantage)A strong team player with the ability to learn and work alone when necessaryDemonstrated Effective Customer Service and Communication Skills
