Credit/Collections Clerk
Description We are presenting an opportunity for a part time Credit/Collections Clerk to join our team in BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, United States. As a part of our team, your primary role will be to manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and resolving any related issues. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Engage with customers primarily through email and telephone to ensure timely payments and set up necessary payment plans. • Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions for future reference and resolution. • Manage transactions including processing credit card and check payments over the phone. • Investigate and resolve billing issues, collaborating with sales representatives, internal departments, and customers as required. • Monitor customer payment records and update them as needed. • Handle returned mail by contacting customers to verify or obtain correct addresses and contact information, and updating this information in our systems. • Manage incoming mail and emails, including opening, sorting, scanning checks, and posting cash payments such as credit card transactions, cash receipts, ACH, and wire transfers. • Collaborate with the credit staff to address issues related to payment reconciliation, transaction coding, and other Accounts Receivable matters. • Handle invoicing tasks. • Perform other duties as required, maintaining a high level of organization and effective communication. • Use accounting software systems and other business systems proficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is beneficial. • Knowledge of Banner Ads is appreciated. • Familiarity with various Business Systems is needed. • Some experience with Chef software would be advantageous. • Must have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR). • Comfortable with Answering Inbound Calls. • Experience in Billing Functions is necessary. • Capable of handling Check Processing tasks. • Must have a solid understanding of Collection Processes.
