Position Summary

The position of "Credit Controller Analyst II" is a vital role in the "Order to Cash" Department at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a leading company in the Finance/Insurance field. As a Credit Controller Analyst II, your main responsibility will be to proficiently handle credit exposure and collection of trade debt for the NA Region, aiming to help the company effectively manage its debts and increase profits.

Key Responsibilities

Manage customers with a high complex portfolio in an assigned portfolio, ensuring compliance with payment terms and credit limits using ERP system, Order Release Portal, and Cforia/GetPaid system.Perform risk assessments on new and existing accounts, making recommendations on credit limits, risk categories, and credit terms.Assist the team in achieving annual targets on collections and support credit risk assessments.Track unapplied/unidentified payments.Conduct expert financial statement analysis and issue recommendations for credit line increases.Oversee the review and documentation of the "Credit Hold" process.Release orders on hold based on credit analysis of customers' trade AR.Establish credit terms for new clients and handle requests for extended payment terms.Negotiate payment plans.Liaise with customers and the commercial department.Identify and analyze credit notes, debit notes, and cash not correctly applied, and inform the appropriate department on how to proceed.Facilitate payment of invoices by credit card when requested by clients.Ensure customer invoices are correctly uploaded into portals or sent by email.Manage the web billing systems of the company and customers.Collaborate with customers to address their inquiries and keep them informed.Prepare statements and reports for the company accountant.Manage own email inbox, prioritize tasks, and provide good customer service.Inform supervisor of uncollectable accounts for further action.Assist in training new employees and provide guidance to team members regarding process-related inquiries or concerns.Participate in updating job aids or supporting documentation.Discover ways to enhance processes and suggest remedies.Support projects at the local and global level.Provide support and fulfill any other requests as required by the company.Uphold the company's ethics and integrity standards.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

High School Diploma required; bachelor’s in finance, accounting, economy, mathematics preferable, or years of equivalent / demonstrable experience in the position.4+ years of experience.Previous work experience in Shared Service Centers.B2+ English Level.Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Proven experience and capability to handle at least one ERP (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, BAAN, QAD, Intuitive, Mainframe).

Additional Desirable Requirements

Experience in Cforia and/or Get Paid.Experience to generate and develop reports.
