 BASIC FUNCTION 

 

Position Overview

 

Credit Controller is responsible in end-to-end Accounts Receivables activities (in various sub-processes such as: Credit risk analysis/assessment, Collections (including pre-legal activities), Dispute Management (Identification and Resolution), Cash applications, Customer on-boarding, Invoice Distribution, Customer portfolio reconciliations) in APAC Region.

 

What you’ll do at Insight

 

Responsible in managing a more complex customer portfolio (this means variety of structures, requirements, payment methods, volume) While interacting with customers, determine the root cause of late payments, and connect with colleagues from upstream processes (such as procurement, client services) to advice the best corrective actions to resolve the issue; Perform credit risk analysis, determine credit worthiness and suggest adequate credit limits and payment terms when new customer are onboarded or when existing ones require changes. Support Team Leader with monthly GL reconciliation activities (such as Bad Debt GL); Contribute to the organization’s cash flow goals, by reducing debt on assigned portfolio, through persistence and tenacity, assertiveness, while demonstrating professionalism and building relationships with both internal and external customers; Distribute invoices to customers, as needed, via various channels (such as via systems, emails or customer portals: i.e. ARIBA, Coupa etc.) Update notes/actions/date in the relevant Accounts Receivable tools (such as SAP, SideTrade, manual Excel trackers etc.) Perform Ledger Reviews, update AR reports for the business as requested (add collection updates, notes related to activities performed to collect outstanding debt); Periodically review outstanding debts, recommend the write-off of small &/or bad debts. Escalate customer accounts to relevant teammates (i.e. Credit Supervisor, APAC Shared Service Finance Manager, Sales Account Manager) in line with the Collections strategy and procedures Participate and support Accounts Receivables team with audit requirements (i.e. provide samples, documentations) when needed Maintain consistent contact with debtors and collaborate closely with internal teams. Administer and maintain the aging profile and ensure collection targets are successfully achieved. Reconcile client accounts and maintain accuracy of client account balances using appropriate systems. Review held orders and release with agreed service level agreements

 

What you’ll need to Join at Insight 

 

Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roles in Accounts Receivables SAP experience is a plus  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on providing clarity to customers about the Debt situation and ability to influence customer to pay in line with agreed payment terms Build positive and progressive relationships with other functional units within the company and build appropriate relationships across internal departments. Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers essential.  Managing Complexity and multitasking Excellent analytical, problem solving and prioritisation skills. Excellent time management and strong organisational skills  Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
