Credit Manager, Asia Regions

Supporting the 3 APLL Asia Regions, this role serves as a manager for Credit & Collections Management, reporting to the GCCCD as well as a strategic partner who knows the Asia markets, working in tandem with the CCO/COO in Asia to support business growth targets while minimizing APLL’s overall credit risk.

Credit reviewing and pre-vetting potential new customers and opportunities using Credit Risk Monitor and COFACE, to evaluate financial risk and minimize bankruptcies.Ensure policies and procedures within Credit Control reflect best practice and SOX compliance and supply support, education, and training in the Asia region where necessary.Perform review in SalesForce on the Credit for new and existing Asian region customers.Assist to facilitate timely collections management in the three Asia regions, together with the GCCD Assist in improving processes in the Asia regions, under the direction of the Asia CCO/COO & GCCD.Align with Asia CCO/COO on building of strategic Asia customer base to grow the pipeline per LOB. Identifies target accounts to pursue based on both customer credit worthiness and strategic fit with business objectives/strategyCollaborate on the smooth implementation and training in the Asia region of the SAP Global Credit and Collections/Dispute ModuleArrange meetings between Asia Commercial and Credit, Finance and Management to discuss trends and solutions for past due accounts leading to payments. Any work designated by the GCCD;

Bachelor’s Degree (or local equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics, or equivalent working experience:Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Asia credit management environment, preferably using SAP.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Asia credit risk management and analysis.Demonstrated experience in multiple industries and geographic locations across Asia (ideally the successful candidate will have experience with customers in each of the 3 APLL Regions)Strong Analytical skills and ability to review, understand and interpret customer financial statements, to properly evaluate customer risk.Experience in vetting strategic customers for the Asia market. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel (vlookup/pivot tables) and Outlook.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, meeting deadlines. Be a collaborative team player and able to work with minimal supervision.Logistics industry experience is a plus including familiarity with service offerings including Forwarding, Consolidation, Trucking and other services.
