Credit Manager

Salary Mid-Point: $115,000 Location: Beaver PA Job Type: Permanent IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Credit Manager to lead the day to day activities of the credit, collection and cash application teams and collaborate closely with Sales and other stakeholders to effectively monitor credit & collection processes and operations. The Credit Supervisor will approve and monitor customer credit limits and manage the collection of receivables to maximize the flow of cash and reduce DSO. The position will be responsible for the leadership of direct reports with a keen attention to training and development.
Responsibilities of the Credit Manager
Responsible for Management, training, and development of a department of credit and collections staff. This includes leadership, guidance and the ability to work hands-on with the staff. Create and monitor metrics and continually look to improve departmental efficiency by making recommendations on process improvement. Lead credit risk evaluations and developing proposals that meet both the internal request while limiting credit risk. Monitor and review client aging in an effort to continually reduce DSO. Audit delinquent accounts to ensure maximum effort has been expended to collect before classifying to bad debt. Work with sales and billing to research and resolve escalated issues. Participate in the month-end close to update the leadership team on the status of accounts. Oversees and performs investigation of credit risk and advises on course of action for credit applications. Ability to interpret financials and review D&B reports. Ability to prepare liens, bonds & letters of credit.
Requirements of the Credit Manager
BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years credit & collections supervisory experience Proven track record of substantially reducing DSO Ability to deliver a quality work product in a customer service environment Ability to adjust to the demands of changing priorities in a fast-paced setting Strong ability to work collaboratively between Sales, customer service and Finance Strong ability to seek information and creatively problem solve Intermediate Excel capabilities Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress.
