Credit Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing the credit worthiness of both new and existing customers and making recommendations on their credit rating and credit limits. It involves researching companies, gathering and analysing financial and non-financial information to make credit recommendation and provide partnership to the Business. Responsible for preparing in depth credit analysis to support new deals preparation by different Business Divisions. Responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities:
•    Assist Credit Manager in ad hoc tasks and function as Team Leader. 
•    Assist Credit Manager to manage team's operation and review order release/ customer credit limit / risk category before submitting for approval. 
•    Brainstorm with credit management team in GBS KL for process improvement or issue resolution  
•    Demonstrate ability to identify issues in the processes and escalates them when necessary. 
•    Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and establish controls to avoid errors in the process.
•    Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a customer’s ability to repay.
•    Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
•    Interaction with different departments and stakeholders' part of the corporate credit process, on a local and international scale
•    Preparation of written Credit Proposals combining financials analysis with sectorial information to support Credit Committee Decisions regarding the client’s risk of default, credit rating and adequacy of the proposed financing.
•    Readiness to support order release process, if needed
•    Ability to detect and propose mitigation plan potential credit risk events.
•    Independently represent Credit Department in front of key stakeholders.
Education/ Work Experience:  
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields
•    At least 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Risk Analysis
•    Experienced leader with an understanding of AR/Credit processes in a multi-national corporation (SSC/BPO) 
•    Excellent English (written / oral) skills are mandatory.
•    Other foreign language skills will be an asset. 
•    Knowledge of SAP & Oracle with clear understanding of financial processes 
•    Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Outlook software
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
•    Good understanding of financial statements, credit rating and concepts
•    Customer service, process improvement and project management skills
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Ability to lead and motivate teams.
