Credit Middle Office - Quality Control Specialist IV

Job Summary 

As a Credit Middle Office Quality Control Specialist within our Quality Control team, you will primarily review the quality of Operations' work for compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements and standards. You will clearly communicate any issues or discrepancies found during the quality review for correction, identify patterns and/or trends in results to address root cause, and follow-up to ensure corrections are made in the system. If necessary, you will escalate issues to Credit Services management for resolution. This role provides an opportunity to support the Operations for International Private Banking and Private Banking America, and contribute to our continuous improvement agenda.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform quality review and audit of Credit and Legal documentation prepared by outside counsel (attorneys) Interpret firm policies and compliance requirements for incorporation into company systems/procedures. Maintain a risk and controls mindset, able to challenge the status quo and identify process efficiencies. Maintain strong organizational and interpersonal skills, highly detail and results oriented, strong verbal and written communication, as well as analytic skills.  Motivate oneself and able to work independently, multi-task and reprioritize work. Quality Specialist IV is also expected to have the ability to interact with varying levels throughout the organization and recognize work in the pipeline and willing to work to completion. Contribute to the continuous improvement agenda by suggesting process and procedure improvement ideas as well as training and communication opportunities discovered from the quality review process, participate in projects related to quality improvement. Additionally, responsibilities include peer work review and offering suggestions on process improvements and take ownership of internal communication and status updates to all involved parties.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years prior experience in a related position Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization, understanding of credit concepts, and be able to quickly determine sensitivity to business risk.  Prior exposure to traditional credit products and traditional credit product loan documentation, experience using the Credit Risk Infrastructure tools and applications.
