About the Role
Responsible for providing portfolio managers with advice and asset allocation strategies to support investment decisions in fixed-income instrumentsAnalyse the overall financial strength and repayment capability of potential investments especially with respect to credit ratingConduct research and prepare report covering economic and market trendsConstruct asset allocation modelsSupervise and assess numerous data sources, industry sectors, asset classes, credit limits, and credit risks issues, and recommend asset allocation strategies to fixed-income portfolio managementMaintain and regularly update obligor database as well as surveillance of Credit Watch List for deteriorating obligors.Work closely with the Fixed Income Portfolio Management Team for credit valuations and Dealing Team for accreditation and review of local and foreign Fixed Income and Equity brokers.Attend and lead weekly meetings with PMs, traders and analysts and participate in weekly credit meetings with Group InvestmentCollaborate with AIA Group Investments and COEs to align credit research strategies, procedures, and standard methodologies, and ensure compliance with AIA investment policies and guidelines.Collaborate with other departments and collaborators to meet Investments-related requirements.Continuously develop fundamental and technical skills to aid credit research skills. Attend market/ economic or product briefings and similar functions and ensure awareness and preparedness to respond and adapt to financial market changes and developments.Perform other responsibilities and duties as may be periodically assigned.Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Business, Finance, or another 4-year related course
Post-graduate studies, such as MBA, CFA, TIFP, etc. a strong advantage
With at least 6-10 years of related work experience, preferably in middle to senior management positions
Strong credit analysis and corporate finance skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
