Covering Investment Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, Municipals, and Credit Strategy, this team offers actionable insights and innovative products daily. Credit Research analysts focus on specific sectors, conducting company and industry analysis. They collaborate with both internal departments (trading, sales, investment banking) and external clients (money managers, pension funds, hedge funds) regularly to enhance credit market evaluation. This dynamic role involves close collaboration with Sales & Trading, offering a fast-paced, engaging experience.

As a summer analyst, you'll rotate through two Credit Research coverage areas, gaining hands-on experience and making meaningful contributions. Guided by a senior analyst, you'll employ critical thinking to provide insights for investment theses and reports. Responsibilities include analyzing macro industry trends, maintaining financial models, gathering and interpreting data, crafting client-centric marketing materials, and possibly participating in client interactions. Moreover, you'll collaborate with our Quantitative Portfolio Strategies and Data Science teams, gaining insights into advanced financial analysis and staying abreast of the field's latest developments.

Who we're looking for


To be considered for this program, you must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in any discipline and have a target graduation date within one year of the conclusion of this internship.

Ideally, you'll have a GPA of 3.2 or above. You'll have an interest in business and finance, a good work ethic and be keen to learn and develop a technical skill set.

Working in New York


You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 110, 000

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the research division providing insights and expertise to help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

Execution of research projects, conducting financial, statistical and industry analysis on companies and the industry to support the team’s investment thesis communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the research division.Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Research of sector trends that may impact company/sector recommendations for the research division.Management of writing daily, weekly, or monthly short notes or lengthy reports on economies, markets and/or industries.Management of assembling historical financial models using public filings, company conference calls, and press releases in support decision making in the research division.Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
