What you’ll do:

This open post is for a credit risk analyst within the Budapest site which is part of the EMEA credit management organisation. The primary purpose is to provide:

Controls and processes that drive adherence to EMEA Credit Management policy

Risk management: ensuring customers’ credit limits are checked against 3rd part credit recommendations, with the goal of keeping financial losses at a minimum. 

Analytical skills with the ability to identify pro-actively potential credit risks across the customer base.

High quality output to senior management detailing the credit risk of new and existing customers to support commercial decisions – using i) 3rd party credit recommendations and ii) own / team analysis. 

Liaise with key stakeholders all levels within Eaton. 

 

A.    Work as a ‘Business Partner’ with finance, accounting, business operations and senior management across regions and systems (SAP / any other) - submitting and obtaining approval for all credit limits and managing the release of all credit-blocked orders.
B.    Ensure full portfolio is compliant to Credit Procedures and meets internal controls, Sarbanes Oxley & audit requirements. Ensure all customer master data in the area of credit management is accurate and up to date.
C.    Conduct creditworthiness checks on new & existing customers using 3rd party credit agencies. Developing & using own financial analysis skills.
D.    Provide risk recommendations to management for new and existing customers based on available information. Manage and monitor end-to-end decision-making process to ensure alignment to customer (internal/external) expectations.
E.    Provide analysis, recommendations and decisions on credit–blocked orders utilising the EMEA Credit Procedure and take appropriate actions / notify and discuss with relevant stakeholders.
F.    Help negotiate acceptable solutions and credit risk mitigation actions with stakeholders where required. Ensure risk escalation process is followed, informing senior EMEA management as necessary.
G.    Support standard Credit Management KPI’s in conjunction with the collection teams (Past Due, Collection Efficiency and DSO goals).
H.    Ensure integrity of customer terms across the region and recommend / drive standardization of terms across divisions where required.
I.    Assist EMEA Credit Risk Manager with periodic or ad hoc financial reports and assisting with Atradius Credit Insurance reporting. 

Qualifications:

•    At least 2 years’ experience in a multinational finance / credit / collections role

 

Skills:

•    Possess a basic or good understanding of corporate credit risk analysis - or willingness & ability to learn this.
•    Basic understanding of the Order to Cash process
•    Can manage own time / priorities / multiple tasks under pressure
•    Good decision-making skills and knowing when to escalate at the correct times.
•    Track record in achieving and exceeding goals/targets essential
•    Problem-solving skills
•    Strong customer focus and service delivery
•    Communication skills: ability to write accurate, clear, concise bullet points covering key issues 
•    Very good business English (the working language of this position)
•    Some Excel skills 
•    Strong team player / happy with hard but interesting & varied (& career-building) work! 
•    The position is an SAP-based one: previous experience of SAP is preferred but not essential 

•    The position will require the ability to work effectively with other team members and internal customers
•    Ability to work with multiple and sometimes complex processes.
