Credit Sector Specialist (High Yield) - Director - NEW YORK

The Markets Analyst is a senior level position responsible for overseeing client analysis and reporting, in coordination with the Trading team. The overall objective of this role is to utilize research to improve existing products and regularly engage clients to discuss margin effectiveness and optimization.

Responsibilities:

Aggregate and process large amounts of publicly available data for relevant markets to direct risk management decisions and client solutionsPerform data analyses and research to evaluate performance, determine new strategies and products, and provide product feedback internallyDevelop performance evaluation methodologies and attribution models for different execution productsCoordinate with quants, technology, compliance and other partners to drive product developmentEngage clients by providing thematic content, market and bespoke analysis, and discuss margin effectiveness and optimizationDefine metrics with partners to be distributed to senior management and other stakeholdersDevelop the risk and margin methodology and product platform and establish risk framework guidelinesNegotiate margin and credit protection clauses with client, and participate in Best Execution and performance committeesOversee client analysis and reporting, ensuring that priority accounts have an appropriate level of focusLeading strong governance and controls:Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructureBuild a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethicsAppropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the sameAdhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to youObtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframeAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in a related roleAdvance statistics and data analysis background, with modelling capabilities, and spreadsheet oversight greatly preferredProven success with a programing background in one or more programming languages, including: Q/KDB, Python, RDemonstrated ability to conduct own research, evaluate proof of concepts / prototypes, articulate ideas and deliver presentationsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationAttention to Detail and AccuracyProven ability to manage to deadlines

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferred
