Under direct supervision, the Credit Specialist is responsible for processing customer credit card payment transactions in accordance with company credit card program policies and processes and will be responsible for weekly and monthly customer account reconciliations. Additionally, this role will assist the Credit Manager with any reporting or data entry needs related to weekly, monthly and quarterly credit risk assessments.
+ Process credit card payments within company policies and procedure guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.
+ Process Credit Card Payments for the following Credit Card Processing Programs.
+ Prepayments – includes reconciliation of payments to invoices.
+ On Receipt – includes timely processing of payments, actioning/resolving declined cards, placement of non-compliant customers with 3rd party collections.
+ Assist in the cross training of staff to back up all duties to ensure that all activities are handled within established standards and goal expectations.
+ Work with internal departments or customers to fulfill credit card related processing inquiries and reporting requests.
+ Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
+ High School diploma or GED
+ 5+ years of business experience in a general office environment, demonstrating a working knowledge of accounts receivable.
+ Intermediate Excel skills (LOOKUPs, pivot tables)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Credit Card Software experience
+ Account aging reconciliation experience
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced features and functions), Word, Teams
+ Experience with Oracle and SalesForce
+ Ability to work with customers in a firm but diplomatic manager
+ Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in English
