Credit Support Analyst
Job Purpose & Scope Responsible for providing operational and analytical support to identify needs in a compliant commercial banking environment. Reviews and interprets loan documentation to establish and monitor financial reporting and covenant requirements. Essential Job Functions Evaluates and reviews compliance of financial reporting and covenant requirements within the Bank’s loan portfolio. Prepares, analyzes, and interprets financial tracking reports to present to management. Monitors reporting exceptions to ensure timely receipt of financial information needed to perform credit tasks. Provides daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring of the Bank’s loan portfolio and reports exceptions to underwriters, bankers and members of senior management. Calculates and interprets financial covenants in accordance with loan documentation, such as Debt Service Coverage, Tangible Net Worth, and Liquidity. Reports risk rating events necessary to maintain prudent portfolio management practices. Acts as the primary point of contact and interacts with customers and internal business partners in a professional manner. Manages and reviews projects for audit and compliance purposes. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of financial ratios, commercial loan documentation, and affirmative/negative covenants. Ability to identify challenges, establish a corrective plan of action, and execute the plan with minimal assistance from others. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and help others when needed. Ability to multi-task, deliver results, and respond quickly and effectively to requests. Ability to adapt well to change, develop alternative solutions, and look for ways to improve and promote quality. Ability to demonstrate and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work additional hours as necessary to reach a goal. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related field; or commensurate work experience, required. One (1) year experience within a consumer or commercial lending environment, preferred.
