Responsible for overall supervision of the Crematory including oversight and coordination of processing of all operational and accounting functions. Participates in the production and maintenance of records and files that relate to crematory property and products.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Location Manager with Administrative Duties
Monitor the operation and proper function of the crematory equipment and machinery by regular inspection, advise location management team when repairs or replacement is requiredPerform a daily review of cremations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policiesMaintain an inventory of urns and other supplies, including temporary containersMaintain the cleanliness of the building and grounds in accordance with established standardsCoordinate the services of the burial / scatter at sea and maintain a log of sameSupervise the care and maintenance of all automotive equipment. Schedule service and repair as needed, submit monthly mileage logs as requiredSupervise shipping / mailing of cremated remains and arrange for special handling when necessaryProvides a collaborative, productive workplace environment for associate growth and development that instills pride, a sense of ownership, and the challenge to associates to exceed expectationsAssure compliance with all Company policies and proceduresSupport location management to ensure objectives are attained while maintaining a high standard to ethics and budgetary requirementsEDUCATIONAL/Experience/MINIMUM Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school or equivalent work experienceEducation:
Five (5) years of funeral home, care center and/or decedent care preparationLicense:
State License for Funeral Director if required by state (National Board Certification required in some states)Valid driver’s licenseGood driving recordKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the company.Ability to work in a team environment with a strong customer service focus. When necessary must be able to work independently.Detail oriented and demonstrated commitment to completing assigned responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.Ability to motivate staff through effective mentoring and leadershipAbility to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of actionWork Conditions
