Job Title: Creo Designer
Job Description

We are looking for a Special Order Designer to support the Engineered To Order (ETO) Group. This role involves modifying standard products with various complexities including seismic considerations, color changes, electrical changes, special coatings, and UPS. The designer will work within the Creo environment to create or modify design concepts for air-cooled packaged products.

ResponsibilitiesCreate or modify design concepts using Creo for air-cooled packaged products.Work with documents, drawings, and bills of material in various formats.Utilize knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods.Design part modeling, large assembly modeling, sheet-metal, and piping.Manage data change and version controls.Effectively use engineering design tools including Creo, Windchill, ProjectLink, and SharePoint.Demonstrate creativity in new product design and customization.Maintain strong design skills and engineering documentation systems.Coordinate design activities with local and offshore design teams.Essential SkillsAt least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and design project management.Proficient with Pro/ENGINEER (3 years minimum; current Wildfire build) including advanced assemblies, 3D modeling, sheet metal, piping, and drawing.Minimum of 2 years of experience with Windchill including document management, change management, and bill of materials.Strong drafting standards and procedures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with bill of material structure and databases.Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes.Relevant job history in HVAC product design and/or product sustaining.Exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ETO modules, Simplified Reps, and family tables in Creo.Experience with BOM creation and maintenance in Windchill.Customization experience in engineering to order, ECN, and ECR.Basic understanding of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing center with a test lab and engineering R&D on-site. The facility focuses on custom and commercial HVAC units, dealing with large-scale products that are shipped internationally. Designers are responsible for their own drafting and documentation, supporting various engineering groups including Custom, Large, Medium, and Small engineering groups. There are five test labs on-site, and the design group supports all engineering teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
