Qualified candidates will be expected to:

Conduct entries and perform image and correlation reviews on NIBIN equipment after receiving training from the ATF or another authorized trainerEnter traces into e-TraceEnter data into spreadsheetsEnter data and updating charts and reportsEnter evidence into Integrated Ballistic Information Systems (IBIS)Perform image and correlation reviewsProduce basic analytical productsSummarize information in writingEstablish rapport with others to accomplish objectivesUtilize NESS for daily entry of local RMS event info associated with ballistic evidence entered into NIBIN and results, and reporting success stories.Handle, operate, and test fire a variety of firearms and ammunition following all safety procedures are completed, and approved by the government official.

 

Position Requirements:

US Citizen with a valid US Driver’s LicenseBS Degree from accredited college or university preferred.  Combination of formal education, work experience and on the job training will be consideredGeneral experience with local, State, or Federal law enforcement is preferred but not requiredMust be able to successfully complete the ATF clearance processMust be willing to provide a DNA sample as part of employment screeningAbility to work with and coordinate the efforts of local, State and Federal law enforcementAbility to analyze, summarize, report and share informationWorking knowledge of Windows based computer applications and softwareMust successfully pass the competency testing for acquisitions and correlations review after being trained to perform image and correlation reviews on NIBIN equipmentOccasional travel may be required.
