SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking, and engaging Criminal Justice faculty member to join the School of Nursing, Arts and Sciences. The successful candidate will join the faculty of our rapidly expanding Associate, Bachelor, and Master's level Criminal Justice programs. The successful candidate will teach assigned courses on the Delhi campus in a traditional face-to-face format. Some opportunities to teach online may be available based on institutional need and enrollment. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2025. View additional program details for: Criminal Justice Studies (AA) (https://www.delhi.edu/academics/majors-programs/associates/criminal-justice/index.php) , Criminal Justice (BS) (https://www.delhi.edu/academics/majors-programs/bachelors/criminal-justice/index.php) , Criminal Justice (MS) (https://www.delhi.edu/academics/majors-programs/masters/criminal-justice/index.php) Areas of responsibilities include: Program Development + Participate in annual systematic assessment of program + Participate in analyzing data and makes recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary Teaching Responsibilities + Provide evidence-based instruction in accordance with the policies set forth by the College + Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students + Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes + Incorporate student service learning opportunities Advisement + Provide accurate and timely advisement of students + Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development + Track student's completion of progression requirements Academic & Organization Commitment + Serve on departmental and campus-wide committees + Lead special projects as needed + Participate in departmental, school, and campus-wide faculty meetings + Participate in accreditation reviews and reports + Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college + Pursue scholarly interests Job Requirements: + Terminal degrees (PhD, Doctorate, or JD, etc.) in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Law, Social Work, Criminology, Political Science or a related field. ABDs anticipating an earned degree within a year of the position's start date are highly encouraged to apply. + Experience working with diverse communities. Preferred Qualifications + Ability to teach college-level courses in-person, at our main Delhi, NY campus, and potentially online and to carry out hands-on learning activities with students. + Ability to teach courses in multiple areas/topics, including (but not limited to): victimology, criminological theory, policing, corrections, ethics, or law. + Work experience in criminal justice, social services, law, or a related field is highly valued.
