Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Criminal Justice Specialist to join our Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team. As a Master's-level mental health clinician, you will provide community-based treatment and services to individuals with complex needs, including serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and a history of involvement in the criminal legal system. You will work closely with clients, their support networks, and other stakeholders to advocate for their care and services, promoting recovery and stability in the community. This dynamic role requires a strong clinical foundation, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for social justice. Shift Hours: Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Salary: The salary for this role is $61,800.18 per year.
Location Address: 2090 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd 4th Floor, New York, NY 10027. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation.
Workplace Flexibility: Flexible - Staff have flexibility to complete their work day from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.
What You Will Be Doing:
Provide at least 80 percent of treatment contacts in the community and complete expected minimum monthly treatment contacts, including leading groups when clinically indicated.Collaborate with client’s support network and other service providers on treatment planning, service coordination, and case management support with the goal of promoting client’s recovery and stability in the community.Attend and participate in daily team meetings to discuss clients’ clinical and case management issues and needs.Provide clinical services that are anti-racist, gender-responsive, culturally humble, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, client-centered, and evidence-based.Complete required documentations and toxicology tests for clients with active Assisted Outpatient Treatment order.Provide 24-hour crisis intervention on-call services on rotating basis.Provide culturally competent services in accordance with CASES policies and practice.
What We Are Looking For:
LMHC, MHC-LP, LMSW, LCSW, with current New York State license.Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.Experience with various evidence-based models pertaining to treatment of substance use, and mental illness.Individuals with lived experience are encouraged to apply.A team player, highly organized and self-motivated.Proficient in computers.Preferred Skills:
