Crisis Assessment Clinician, Emergency Services at GBMC - A Sheppard Pratt Partner - Towson, MD

This position is being recruited and hired by Sheppard Pratt Solutions on behalf of Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). As the largest nonprofit provider of behavioral healthcare in the nation, Sheppard Pratt teams with healthcare systems across the country so they can provide the highest quality acute psychiatric services in their community.

What you can expect.

This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of urgent psychiatric medical attention. You will be based on GBMC’s emergency department, which is located directly next to Sheppard Pratt’s landmark Towson, MD campus.

The position requires weekend and evening shifts for which you will be appropriately compensated.

Specific responsibilities include:

Conducting thorough crisis assessments, including risk assessment for self-harm or harm to others. Facilitating referrals for the next level of care, including Sheppard Pratt’s network of supports. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation. Ensuring compliance with ethical principles, confidentiality laws, and regulations governing psychiatric healthcare.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, license and years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

Social worker A master’s degree Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C) Counselor A master’s degree Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Psychologist A doctorate degree in Psychology (PsyD) or Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology Maryland Licensed Psychologist Two years of experience in a fast-paced hospital or clinical setting.
