Hiring Range: $ 65,749 - $ 78,899
Hours: M-F 9-5pm
This position is devoted to providing crisis management and support services for people in crisis. This 3 year grant opportunity is part of an initiative to serve those most vulnerable in the community. Incumbents in this classification perform professional and clinical support in the delivery of services, as a licensed clinician. As assigned, work may include: responding to calls for service; de-escalating crisis situations; screening and assessing situations; providing therapeutic interventions; developing care plans; and maintaining related documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities
+ Carries a small caseload of individuals diagnosed with SPMI and SA in extreme need of consistent care and attention by providing therapeutic interventions, de-escalation strategies and methods, advocacy, and community partnership resource connections
+ As part of a team, conducts follow-up contacts; identifies needs and resources; and ensures individuals are connected to appropriate care providers and resources.
+ Consults with clinical leadership to coordinate, develop and implement care plans to address the needs of individuals; makes diagnosis of individuals; identifies, engages and makes referrals to community resources and other support areas or organizations; and ensures connections are made to additional services.
+ Responds to non-law enforcement 911 calls for service while learning and utilizing assessment and intervention strategies as a clinical provider of a crisis response team in the field or in a call center
+ Clinician will review and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and policy.
+ Ensures up-to-date knowledge and methods of profession by attending and participating in training, participating with clinical and administrative supervision, and other staff developmental activities; and provides input to department procedures and operations
+ Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
+ Diagnosis, evaluation and treatment planning and psychotherapy including DSM5 diagnosis criteria, Severe Mental Illness, Severe Persistent Mental Illness and Intellectual Development Disability.
+ Population experiencing behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse and intellectual developmental disability crisis.
+ Principles and practices of person-centered treatment plan development.
+ Methods and techniques of crisis intervention and de-escalation.
+ Local human services, health, legal and mental health organizations and programs.
+ Applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.
+ Customer service principles.
+ Methods and techniques of individual advocacy.
+ Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
+ Modern office technology.
+ Methods and techniques of proper documentation.
SKILLED IN:
+ Development and implementation of treatment plans.
+ Identifying the signs and symptoms of mental illness, substance abuse and other behavioral illness.
+ De-escalating emergency and crisis situations.
+ Demonstrating initiative, sound judgment and focus in crisis situations.
+ Team collaboration and partnership.
+ Coordinating with staff and multiple agencies as needed.
+ Interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards.
+ Utilizing a computer and relevant software applications.
+ Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and other to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
+ Master’s degree or equivalent in social work, psychology, or related human services field.
+ Two years of relevant experience
+ Must have a valid, unrestricted, North Carolina Class C driver's license "or" if you currently have another state driver's license, be willing and able to obtain a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of start date.

+ Provisionally or Fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW/LCSWA), Provisionally or Fully Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC/LCMHCA), Provisionally or Fully Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Provisionally or Fully Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A)
+ Ability to speak multiple languages with a priority on the Spanish language.
