POSITION TITLE: Crisis Wellness Center (WCW) Clinical Supervisor
RESPONSIBLE TO: CWC Program Director
Summary: The Clinical Supervisor works closely with the Crisis Program Director. The Clinical Program Supervisor will work with the Program Director in the provision of clinical supervisory services to MHPs and Peer Support Specialists. This position provides clinical services to agency patients. The Clinical Supervisor works in a supportive role with the team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, work assignments, and orientation and performance supervision according to work rules, regulations, and policies and collective bargaining agreements; develop and implement staff orientation and training in conjunction with the Program Director.
Schedule and facilitate supervision sessions;Review clinical charts for accuracy and completeness, noting WAC and Medicaid requirements;Coordinate and collaborate with the Program Director on the progress of the training, professional development, and ability to deliver services as assigned;Assist the counselors with organizing all needs and supplies regarding the delivery of services; Monitor all ethical and safety concerns and report them immediately;Develop and maintain updated and continuous Professional Development Plans with the counselors Maintain full and open communication with the Program Director in promoting communication and information between the team members, and other agency staff in delivery of services;Ensure that continuous quality improvement addresses both client needs and compliance with WACs, RCWs, RSN, Medicaid, and Federal Regulations;Ensure compliance with all applicable Lifeline Connections policies and contracts;Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
The Crisis MHP Supervisor must qualify as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) per WA WACS, and have strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Supervisory and program management experience is desirable. Demonstrated experience providing supervision and/or mentoring to subordinate staff or co-workers. Demonstrated experience at providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals early in recovery from alcohol and other drugs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Active WA credential including one of the following approved: CAAC, LAAC, LMHC(a) Social work license/Social work license associate.Current CPR and First Aid and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain one within 90 days.Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.Be willing to seek to understand each individual’s unique circumstances and personal preferences and goals and incorporate them into the crisis response to help individuals regain a sense of control.Understand and support the Living Room Model of service delivery-specifically that MHPs and RNs are not the primary support at CTS.Have a strong understanding of recovery and resilience, the value of partnerships and individual choice, and the balance between protection from harm and personal dignity.Interest or experience in working with individuals who are difficult to engage and maintain in traditional behavioral health programs.Subscribe to the philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and of consideration and respect for individuals.Ability to work effectively with individuals displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or bizarre behaviors.Demonstrated knowledge regarding the management of challenging behaviors.Competency in adult psychopathology and pharmacology; clinical treatments of dual diagnosis clients and of substance use and addictions, individual crisis intervention and psychotherapy; professional ethics, and individual rights.Good verbal and written communication skills.Great attendance.Ability to work well with others.Participate in on call rotation.This position requires shift work and requires the ability to work within a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of the job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, speak clearly, hear and use hands and fingers to manipulate writing utensils and keys on a keyboard. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or lift and/or move maximum of 15 lbs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Working hours are spent indoors in offices or meeting rooms. Occasional supervision of outdoor activities, visits to community agencies, and participation in staff retreats and staff development activities may be required.

Salary: $30.73 - $31.93/hr DOE
