0.9375Summary: *We are currently looking for critical care nurses. Nurse I's or Nurse II's are eligible for this title. Depending on the experience level of the selected candidate would impact the title offered. Nurse I includes a base salary and geographic differential. Total combined salary range for Nurse II's is $90,849 -107,192 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Additional compensation offered for third shift and critical care.Roswell offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Critical care involves complex assessment and intervention performed by highly skilled nurses who are able to function effectively and independently under intense circumstances to provide the necessary care to the critically ill patient population. Working collaboratively with physicians and other medical professionals, critical care nurses care for critically ill patients within the intensive care unit.
Responsibilities of the critical care nurse include the following: Advanced Assessment of a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans; Providing advanced life support including ventilator support; Assisting physicians in performing procedures; Observing and recording patient vital signs as well as intake and outputs every one (1) hour; Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly; Administering continuous vasoactive and cardiac medications; Ordering diagnostic tests; Collaborating with fellow members of the critical care team; Provide care using nursing standards and Hospital/ICU protocols for treatment; Acting as patient advocates; Providing education and support to patient families; Caring for both medical and surgical patients; Providing care to the immediate post-operative patient; Responding to Rapid Responses and medical emergencies throughout the medical campus; Being part of end of life conversations as well as collaborating with the Palliative Care and Hospice teams; Providing CRRT therapy.

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have critical care experience.
