Make a Difference
The Nursing Education Specialist, specialized in Critical Care, will be responsible for orienting new nurses to the ICU and PCU Service-Line through development, delivery, and implementation of Critical Care Core classes and specialty critical care classes. The Nursing Education Specialist will become a Nurse Planner developing classes for experienced ICU and PCU nurses, providing contact hours to enhance their professional development. The Critical Care Nursing Education Specialist will also serve as a as a change agent, mentor, influential leader and a champion for scientific inquiry serving on various Network committees and initiatives. Travel throughout the various Community Health Network facilities is required with the role.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Graduate from an ACEN, CCNE or NLN accredited school of nursing with a baccalaureate degree in Nursing (or in lieu of accredited schools listed, three years of related professional nursing experience). Masters required (MSN, MBA, MHA, MPH or related advance degree) – or within 24 months of accepting role with MSN focus of classes on Education. Either Bachelor’s or Master’s must be in Nursing. 3 + years of recent experience in a critical care, acute care setting as an RN. Current Indiana RN license.
