The University of Miami UHealth Hospital Emergency Department has an exciting opportunity for a Critical Care Technician.
The Critical Care Technician conducts drug utilization review studies, and consults with medical practitioners on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors. Additionally, this employee works closely with patients and healthcare providers to provide information and guidance about the effects of prescription drugs, and to help plan effective drug therapy programs.
Maintains and cares for all equipment, to include cleaning of intravenous pumps, poles, glucometer, and ultrasound machine with hospital approved disinfectant, before and after use. Maintains patient areas with adequate supplies.Completes equipment log, reports broken equipment, and enters work orders for repair.Ensures that medication refrigerator is clean, maintains refrigerator logs, and reports deviations in temperature range to supervisor.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Certification and Licensing:
Certification in relevant specialty or field
Experience:
No Experience Required (Training provided)
