Overview Part time 24 hours/week | 7:00am - 7:00pm variable days of the week The Critical Care Technician is responsible for assisting with or independently providing direct patient care to those individuals assigned to them by the Manager/Registered Nurse. Those services shall be provided in a manner that displays compassion, caring and respect. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Licensed EMT or Paramedic; OR CNA or PCA with one (1) year of patient care experience in a clinical setting preferred (acute care preferred); OR Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved program for preparation of either professional nurses or licensed practical nurses. Must have successfully completed the didactic and clinical portion of a nursing fundamental course work; OR Current employees who have completed an approved professional nursing or licensed practical nursing program and are awaiting NCLEX authorization to test (up to 90 days post-graduation); OR Current employees who have completed an approved professional nursing or licensed practical nursing program and have been unsuccessful in passing the NCLEX examination (up to 6 months post initial authorization to test). Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose. NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
