About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Operations Engineering, AS a CIP Compliance Specialist (Technical Resources Technologist), you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with critical infrastructure protection standards. You'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our CIP-Substation Engineering program, managing audit and compliance tasks, and engaging with key stakeholders. Your expertise will drive our incident response efforts and enhance our service improvements. If you're passionate about compliance and ready to make a significant impact, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Provide assistance on SUB assets, answering CIP program questions from other groups, and collecting yearly audit evidence. Assist in responding to Audit Information Requests (IR), gathering patching and baselining evidence from various vendors, and participating in annual vulnerability assessments. Support the development and maintenance of a CIP-Substation Engineering program to ensure ongoing CIP compliance. Engage in upcoming CIP standards changes, provide feedback to the CIP Governance Team (CGT), and monitor CGT developments. Help prioritize and manage CIP tasks using a tracking list. Build and maintain relationships with the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), other Transmission Facility Operators (TFO), MSA, and other stakeholders to address common CIP-related issues. Assist in developing and testing a committee for the ATCO Electric Cyber Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP). Review ARS Compliance Process Documents, document CIP requirements, identify necessary processes/practices for compliance, validate compliance, and perform quarterly GAP assessments. Track compliance self-assessments and mitigation plans, and draft Near-Miss or Self-Reports on ARS & ATCO Electric’s CIP requirements contraventions. Assist with planning improvements and aligning them with key performance indicators (KPIs). Support the Engineer group in delivering ARS compliance evidence on a project basis.
What you Bring:
Completion of a post-secondary technology diploma in a related discipline from a recognized Canadian institute of technology May be required to attain registration with A.S.E.T. 2-5 years of related experience working in CIP Compliance, Projects and Audits.
