This includes patients with NSTEMI or active chest pain requiring cardiac interventions, electrophysiology abnormalities treated with ICD's or radiofrequency ablations. We manage dysrhythmias through administration and titration of cardiac drips. Nurses actively participate in bedside procedures and manage arterial access devices. CSU is a busy, fast paced unit seeking highly motivated team players looking to expand their cardiac skill set and provide optimal patient outcomes. Nurses are expected to obtain and maintain ACLS certification.

2-Reid Unit:

2-Reid is a 12-bed intermediate care unit specializing in the care of patients with moderate to severe medical and cardiac diagnoses such as sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation/flutter and CHF.  Nurses on this unit utilize a broad skill set, initiate and titrate drips that require cardiac monitoring and assist with bedside procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
