Critical-Short Term Staff Assign RN, Rad Tech, RCP - High Need, 60FR (Shift Code 999)
Departmental Overview Norman Regional Hospital Intermediate Care (IMC) cares for a wide variety of critical patients with complex medical conditions. NRHS IMC team is the step down unit and dedicated stroke unit providing award winning advanced stroke care. An IMC RN is highly skilled to rapidly assess a patient’s condition and intervene with immediate attention as needed. The IMC RN should show respect, empathy, and exhibit strong communication skills with patients, families, and other health care professionals. The RN should understand and employ patient safety and harm prevention tools. Job Summary Job Summary RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. In collaboration with the physician you will provide total patient nursing care by assisting, leading, and/or directing care with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers. Cares for all ages of patients; infant to geriatric. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. 2 years acute care preferred. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) training is required within 8 months of hire and required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Schedule 7PM-7A-every other weekend-3 shifts per week Work Shift Night Position Type PRN
