The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to this position. **Job Summary** Provides administrative support to Frankel Cardiovascular Center (FCVC) Basic Science and Educational programs including the Summer Fellowship Program (SURF), Cardiovascular Graduate Certificate, and T32 synergy initiatives. Serves as the support oversight for seminars and scientific symposiums for these programs. Administratively manages the recharge and billing for the Physiology Phenotyping Core (PPC) and the FCVC Internal Funding Portfolio. Provides high level administrative support for the Cardiovascular Research Network (CRN) Program Manager. Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good. **What Benefits can you Look Forward to?** + Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day + Flexible spending accounts + Prescription Drug Plan + Child Care Resources + Life Insurance + Legal Services Plan + Retirement Savings Opportunities with 2:1 match and immediate vesting **Responsibilities*** **Administrative Lead of Summer Fellowship Program (SURF)** + Organize and facilitate all aspects of annual summer fellowship program including marketing of application opportunity and management of application submission and review process. + Maintain program website and social media presence. + Organization and facilitation of orientation and end of summer symposiums. + Manage travel arrangements and hosting for symposium guests. + Organize and facilitate fellowship summer lecture series in collaboration with partnering departments/divisions. + Author reports, create and track metrics, and report information to leadership teams as needed. + Manage updates of all program materials including program handbook. + Liaise with program alumni to track post program educational and career progression. **Administrative Support of Basic Science and Educational Initiatives** + Oversight of CME registration and payment process for all FCVC Research Team Educational Programs. + Provides general administrative support for all FCVC Educational programs and serves as the oversight support for seminars and scientific symposiums for these programs. + Manages the FCVC Internal Funding Portfolio administrative processes. This includes the creation and dissemination of RFA?s, collection and compiling of applications, and the managing of review and award processes. + Lead administrative support for the Cardiovascular Graduate Certificate program and the FCVC?s strategic T32 synergy initiatives. + Serve as the administrative lead on the Physiology Phenotyping Core recharge. This includes the management of the annual recharge renewal processes and the monthly service billing. + Provides high level administrative support for CRN Leadership Team and cross-coverage, as needed, for CRN Admin / Project Coordinator. + Other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in office administration or project management. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in service billing. + Experience with Institutional recharge processes. + Previous experience working in basic science or educational programs. + Previous experience in event planning. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maximum collaboration in a team environment. + Strong problem-solving skills, self-direction and ability to collaborate with others to find effective solutions to problems. + Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a diplomatic and effective manner. + Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service especially in working with departments and services across multiple areas. + Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web-based applications are necessary. + Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints. + Strong organizational skills. + Demonstration of commitment to the FCVC Core Values. **Desired Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree preferred. + Previous experience working with undergraduate students. + Experience utilizing Outlook, M-Pathways and other University of Michigan IT systems including grant management program is desired. + Knowledge of University policies, rules, and regulations is desired. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
