Great American's Crop Division is looking for a Claim Operations Supervisor to join our Fargo, ND office. As one of the largest Crop insurers in the country, Great American is recognized as a leader in this specialized marketplace. We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to join our GREAT team.Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupervises daily activities of claims processing and payment functions.Establishes work procedures and standards.  Evaluates work methods and implements new procedures and operations.Maintains various reports and management controls.  Verifies statistical coverage information, as requested.  Provides status report on Processing unit(s) to Claims Manager, as requested.Coordinates the work activities of the unit.  Responsible for day-to-day work and procedures.  Assigns and checks work.  Monitors and controls quality, productivity, and workflow.Provides technical guidance to staff.  Maintains high-level system(s) knowledge sufficient to instruct staff on automated system(s) and processing workflows.Identifies operational and/or potential systemic problems; identifies root causes and ensures that solutions are implemented promptly.Responsible for performance and coaching of staff and has a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management.  Provides training to new members of the team.Performs other duties as assigned.

Job RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: Generally, 4 to 6 years of related experience, including 0 to 2 years of leadership experience.

This job is non-exempt in California.
