Intel Federal LLC (IFL) d.b.a Intel Government Technologies (IGT) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation responsible for managing Intel's business and regulatory compliance with Governments worldwide. Intel Government Technologies (IGT) is the expanded activity that represents a profit-and-loss center at the Intel Corporate level that uniquely ensures compliance and regulatory aspects for IFL, including the generation of market specific products, focused RND activities, and deep engagements with sponsoring Government partners. IGT develops and executes programs of mutual benefit to Government Sponsors, market Customers, and Intel's long-term strategic objectives.
In IGT, we collaborate across all of Intel: Sales and Marketing, Government Affairs, Intel Product Business Units (client, datacenter, networking, edge, FPGAs), Intel Foundry (silicon, packaging, materials), as well as the RND, Communications, Legal, and Strategy teams at the corporate level.
Intel Government Technologies has multiple groups, this job posting specifically focuses on the advanced RND portion. The RND team has only one goal - to be the premiere microelectronics RND partner for all US and Allied Governments driving customer mission successes aligned to Intel objectives.
This job posting is to recruit exceptional talent into a technical leadership position in one of the most unique roles to exist within the microelectronics industry. The successful candidate for this position will develop and execute a complex strategy working across the RND interests of government agencies (domestic and allied) and Intel Corporation. They will be the most advanced in state-of-the-art RND across the entire ecosystem focused on solving agency challenges in an optimum way, at any scale, and any point in time. Solutions will be developed in partnership with customers who build system solutions to meet cross-domain Government challenges spanning all areas from healthcare to defense, and AI platforms to world-class security.
Specific Job Description:
This role will have significant responsibility for a core IGT/Intel research focus area. This position is recruiting for one of several RND Strategic Pillar Leads to represent a specific pillar, spanning focus areas including, but not limited to, AI and HPC, Edge and Sensing, Security, Foundry (silicon, materials, packaging, etc.), and Novel Computing (quantum, MEMS, analog, etc.). These Pillar Leads will be chartered with connecting Intel's technology know-how and leadership with the unique needs of the Government. This role will drive new and sustained project growth across Intel's RND operations, while engaging with Products, Foundry, and Strategy teams when needed.

QualificationsWe are seeking very strong technical candidates with clear systems level thinking.
The candidate must have a recognized degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field that developed that knowledge (and can be tested) which meets one of the following requirements for experience:Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant experienceMaster's Degree and 12+ years of relevant experiencePhD and 10+ years of relevant experienceUS Citizenship required.Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.6+ years-experience consistently interfacing with external organizations in commercial or government sectors across levels of technical communication and management engagement4+ years of senior Technical or Managerial leadership including owning the architectural definition and development of RND platforms for complex solutions at any scale, including:10+ years-experience with simulation, emulation, and analytical methodologies5+ years of mentoring, career coaching, and leadership function demonstrated skillsPreferred Qualifications:
