**Some of what you'll be doing:** As a Cruise Technical and Systems Operations Manager, you will manage technical and systems operations of the cruise business line. You will work closely with internal Port of Seattle teams and external power, fuel, and other related industries to ensure optimum actions toward energy transition, reductions of greenhouse gas emissions and improvements to our air and marine environments. + You will lead alternative fuels projects including involvement in Green Corridor feasibility study, coordination with environmental teams on related projects, and interaction with cruise line Marine Operations teams on pilots, demonstration projects, future plans and needs for development at the Port. + You will travel as required to participate in cruise industry meetings as well as Port and technical industry meetings to incorporate best practices and innovate solutions. + You will ensure Port owned Shore Power equipment viability now and futureproofing, reporting on connections, manage maintenance via external partners, liaison on electrical costs and tracking needs. + You will lead projects to ensure operational success of all technical equipment supporting cruise such as gangways, barges, and similar, both existing equipment and capital improvements. + You will develop and manage budgets and oversee any consultant work needed including operating budgets and capital projects. + You will advise on infrastructure needs and develop and implement projects. + You will advise on how to engage with global, federal, and local regulatory schemes. + You will collaborate with cruise industry leaders on projects that would accelerate energy transition, operational efficiency and reduction of environmental footprint, including decarbonization efforts. + You will provide community outreach support at the port related to cruise business. **Who you are:** + **Experienced** – You have five (5) years of technical operations experience in the cruise industry. + **Desired** – We hope you have a Bachelors in Maritime Operations. + **Committed to Equity** – You will apply equity and exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. You are also experienced in managing multiple projects concurrently, while coordinating contractors, partners, and vendors to meet operational and environmental targets. + **Technically Skilled** – You are skilled at project management, particularly in managing shore power equipment, maintenance partnerships, and electrical systems, including cost tracking and future-proofing technologies. **What else you need to know:** + **Work Schedule** – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.
