Cryofill Tech II

Global Helium and Rare Gases is seeking a Cryofill Technician II to join our team located in Tampa, FL.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Cryofill Technician II is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

· Operating a 33,000 VGW straight truck.

· Safely handling hazardous materials (liquid/gaseous helium and liquid nitrogen).

· Delivering liquid helium to customer sites and transferring into MRI units.

· Interacting with both colleagues and customers in a professional manner.

· Listening to and resolving service inquiries and complaints/issues.

· Complying with all OSHA and DOT regulations/requirements.

· Complying with all company policies including use of PPE, in-cab video technology, and HOS.

· Ability to work shifts as per DOT guidelines, which may include possible layovers, evenings, weekends, call outs.

· Performing Pre/Post trip vehicle inspections, loading, unloading, and securing assets in accordance with DOT standards.

· Accurately completing all written and electronic documentation associated with driving duties.

· Participate in monthly safety meetings and complete all required company training.

· Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of company truck. Ensure all in cab documentation is up to date.

Education and Experience Required:

· High School Diploma or equivalent is required

· CDL Class A or B license with Hazmat endorsement

Skills Required:

· This position requires a well-rounded individual willing to be trained and perform all duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.

· Must have high commitment to personal safety and environmental accountability.

· Intermediate level computer skills; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)

· Mechanical inclination and experience with troubleshooting.

· Customer Service experience is a plus.

· Able to pass a pre-employment DOT physical (up to and including drug alcohol test, road test)

· Willing to be flexible; work schedule includes nighttime hours and overnight stays.

· On-call 24/7

Travel Percentage:

· Up to 60%

Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
