Our client is a leading multinational construction and engineering contractor, headquartered in the USA and operating across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East. With a global workforce of over 9,000 and an annual turnover exceeding €6 billion, they specialise in delivering high-tech projects across key sectors, including data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, photovoltaics, battery plants, and specialty chemicals. They provide a full turnkey services, covering design, construction, and handover, encompassing civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) works, mechanical and electrical (MEP) systems, and commissioning.
The need now exists for an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor to manage all civil, structural, and architectural financial and contractual aspects of projects from inception to completion including cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered as scheduled and within financial constraints.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Prepare detailed CSA cost estimates and budgets for projects, including labour, materials, and provide accurate cost forecasts and financial projections to support project planning and decision-making.
Review and manage contracts and subcontracts, ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual terms and conditions.
Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims, and resolve any issues that arise.
Monitor and control project costs, tracking expenditures and ensuring they align with the approved budget.
Prepare regular CSA financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final account statements providing detailed analysis of financial performance.
Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors ensuring that procurement activities are carried out in a cost-effective and compliant manner.
Work with the project team to identify & address any financial challenges that may impact project delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for financial and contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management or similar field.
Significant years of experience in quantity surveying within CSA construction/engineering, data centre, and pharmaceutical projects.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, contract management, and cost control methods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively.
