Hold regularly scheduled individual supervisory sessions and team meetings with supervisees. Accompany CSSs/CPSs to see clients on a periodic basis to assure worker safety and quality performance.Assist supervisees in identification of referral needs.Assist supervisees in the effective management of their time, as dictated by DMH and ASAM standards and departmental needs.According to Burrell guidelines, participates in staffing of clients to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management responsibilities for cases assigned.Participate in the quality assurance process both in presenting or facilitating the presenting of cases and situations and in giving input in cases and situations.Participate in the development of initial/master treatment plans (ITPs), ITP (annual) updates and 90-day reviews of ITP’s as needed.Be readily available to serve as back up to supervisees when supervisees are unavailable (due to being with other clients, sickness, vacation, etc.) or in need of additional expertise. Become involved in direct crisis intervention during regular business hours and as needed on a call down basis after hours or on weekends.Regularly review and monitor written documentation, providing corrective feedback and employee discipline as needed, to assure compliance with documentation requirements.Provides and/or coordinates a comprehensive follow-up to all clients for whom he/she has been responsible.Participates in emergency services in order to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis.Within limits of experience, educational background, and Burrell time commitments, presents in public forums educational material to promote community understanding of mental health and to enhance community response to mental health problems.Report all critical incidents and staff responses to the supervising Assistant Director.Assist in the hiring of new staff as needed.Review all travel vouchers and certify that mileage claimed is reasonable and for medically necessary activities.Functions in accordance with Burrell Behavioral Health Operational Guidelines, and within his/her professional code of ethics.Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Burrell, including new hire trainings and orientation.Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for services, etc.Participates in all required meetings.Regularly participates in evaluation of self and assigned staff according to Burrell Operational Guidelines.Is responsive to all Quality Assurance procedures of Burrell, cooperates with utilization review procedures, and follows established procedures, rules and regulations of the Clinical Records Department. Participate in the quality assurance process both in presenting or facilitating the presenting of cases and situations and in giving input in cases and situations.Performs other special functions as may, from time to time, be outlined and attached hereto.Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field; or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field with 3 years of qualifying experience; or a combination of education and experience to be considered a Qualified Mental Health Professional and/or Qualified Addiction Professional by the state of Missouri.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of residents, employees of the organization, family members and other contacts in the community.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Missouri Chauffeur's Driver’s License is suggested, but not required unless driving a Burrell owned vehicle.Additional Qualifications:
Shall be able to establish effective relationships via telephone and personal contacts.
